Research

Our projects target the conversion of small molecules, which are relevant in the chemical energy conversion reactions. We utilise homogeneous and heterogeneous transition metal catalysts in the electrochemical-driven water splitting and CO2 reduction reaction. Well-designed ligand-metal-structures are utilised that possess proton-responsive functional groups in order to facilitate proton-coupled electron transfer steps during catalysis, which enhances catalysis.
